1-Larry D. Terry II

Larry D. Terry II has been named vice president for outreach at Penn State, effective January 2023. Terry currently serves as the executive director for the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service at the University of Virginia. In 2020, he was appointed by former Gov. Ralph Northam to the Virginia State Crime Commission. He also served on the board of the Center for Nonprofit Excellence from 2019 to 2022 and is currently the president of the Consortium of University Public Service Organizations. Terry holds a doctorate in public affairs from the University of Texas at Dallas and a master’s degree in public administration from San Diego State University. 

2-Eleanor J.B. Daugherty

Eleanor J.B. Daugherty will join Georgetown University as vice president for student affairs in January 2023. Daugherty currently serves as associate vice president for student affairs and dean of students at the University of Connecticut (UConn). Prior to her time at UConn, Daugherty served in a variety of student life, alumni affairs and admissions roles at the University of Chicago, Columbia University and the University of Michigan. She holds Doctor and Master of Education degrees from Columbia University and a bachelor’s from the University of Chicago.

3-Jane Kirkland

Old Dominion University has selected Sarah Jane Kirkland to serve as the associate vice president for corporate partnerships effective March 1, 2023. With a strong background in business development and community outreach, Kirkland has served the CIVIC Leadership Institute from 2019 through the present as president and chief executive officer; 2016 through 2019 as chief operating officer; and 2013 through 2016 as director of alumni engagement; as well as 2003 through 2005 as program manager. She also has extensive experience with Carnival Cruise Line, including nearly a decade as a business development director.
