Diane Recinos
The Berkeley College Board of Trustees has named Diane Recinos, EdD, as president of Berkeley College, effective immediately. Recinos began her career at Berkeley in 1992 as Director of Financial Aid and took on expanded roles in technology and analytics. As Senior Vice President, Student Success and Senior Vice President, Enrollment Management, her leadership has spanned Campus Operations, Admissions, and Marketing, among others. She holds a Doctorate in Education from St. John Fisher College.
Jonathon Halbesleben
The University of Texas at San Antonio has selected Jonathon Halbesleben as dean of the Carlos Alvarez College of Business, Bodenstedt Chair and Tom C. Frost Distinguished University Chair for Business Excellence. Halbesleben has served at the University of Alabama since 2010, most recently as dean of the College of Continuing Studies, where he also served as senior associate dean and Russell Professor of Business Administration in the Culverhouse College of Business. Halbesleben earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in industrial/organizational psychology from the University of Oklahoma.
Naomi E. Boyd
Naomi E. Boyd, Ph.D., has been named dean of the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Business, effective July 1. Boyd currently serves as associate dean for innovation, outreach and engagement and as chair, professor and the Fred T. Tattersall Chair of Finance in the John Chambers College of Business and Economics Department of Finance at West Virginia University. Boyd received a doctorate in finance and quantitative methods from George Washington University.
Rahul Shrivastav
Rahul Shrivastav has assumed the role of executive vice president and IU Bloomington provost. Shrivastav currently serves as vice president for instruction at the University of Georgia. Shrivastav also served as professor and chair of the Department of Communicative Sciences and Disorders and directed the Voice and Speech Laboratory at Michigan State University.
Shrivastav received his doctoral degree in speech and hearing sciences, with a minor in cognitive sciences, from Indiana University.
Chris Roberts
Chris Roberts has been named Auburn University’s 21st president and will assume full duties in May, 2022. He began his career at Auburn in 1994 as an assistant professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and became department chair in 2003. He was named dean of engineering in July 2012. Dr. Roberts earned his master’s and doctoral degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 1992 and 1994, respectively.
M. Elizabeth Magill
The University of Pennsylvania has appointed M. Elizabeth Magill, who most recently served as executive vice president and provost of the University of Virginia, as the next Penn president assuming full duties in July, 2022. Magill earned a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. She became EVP and Provost at UVA in 2019. Prior to her tenure at UVA, Magill served for seven years as the Richard E. Lang Professor of Law and Dean of the Stanford Law School.
Michael Amiridis
The University of South Carolina has named Michael Amiridis as the 30th president of the university. Amiridis has served as chancellor of the University of Illinois-Chicago since 2015, after spending more than two decades on campus in Columbia, South Caroline, serving as a chemical engineering professor, department chair, dean of the College of Engineering and Computing and the university's executive vice president for academic affairs and provost. He earned his Ph.D. in chemical engineering in 1991. He then spent a few years in industry before arriving in Columbia in 1994.
Dr. Eric Leshinskie
The Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) has selected Dr. Eric Leshinskie as Scottsdale Community College’s next president. Dr. Leshinskie currently serves as the interim executive vice chancellor and provost for MCCCD after serving as vice president of academic affairs at Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC) and interim vice president of academic affairs at Glendale Community College (GCC). Leshinskie earned his doctorate of Education in Leadership and Innovation in May 2017 from the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers’ College at Arizona State University (ASU).
