(CBC)

CBC in Washington offers the following academic opportunities: baccalaureate degrees (Bachelor of Applied Science and Bachelor of Science in Nursing), transfer degrees (Associate in Arts and Sciences), workforce degrees (Associate in Applied Science), certificate programs, continuing and community education, and support programs.  Its student clubs include the Diversity Club.

HBU has a student-to-faculty ratio of 16:1 and a strong portfolio of scholarships awarded on the basis of merit, talent, leadership and athletics.  Majors and programs offered at HBU include Latin American studies, and its student clubs and organizations include the Hispanic Student Organization and the Bilingual Students Education Organization.

Loma Linda University

(LLU)

California’s LLU is comprised of eight schools: Allied Health Professions, Behavioral Health, Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health and Religion.  Its student groups include the Association of Latin American Students whose purpose is to provide academic, spiritual, social and ethnocultural support for its members, and to engage in community outreach.

 

Reading Area Community College

(RACC)

RACC in Pennsylvania program offerings include business, criminal justice, nursing and respiratory care.   Its Community Education/Workforce Development division offers programs like dental assisting, GED preparation, home health aide and veterinary assisting.  Its student clubs and organizations include the Diversity Club, which hosts the Annual International Festival and does community service.

 

Saint John Vianney College Seminary

Located in Miami, Florida, St. John Vianney College Seminary provides undergraduate education and formation for students working towards becoming Catholic priests, as well as academic opportunities for laity and others who may be enriched by its services.   The institution is fully bilingual (English-Spanish) and provides students with a multicultural setting.

 

SUNY Westchester Community College

In addition to events hosted by the Westchester Community College’s committees, which present offerings during annual celebrations of African-American, Hispanic and Asian culture, the college offers a range of multicultural events through its Smart Arts Series. Its student clubs and organizations include El Club Hispano-Americano and the International Friendship Club.

 

Waubonsee Community College

(WCC)

Illinois’ WCC has four campus locations and offers programs in a variety of areas including business, communications and world languages, education, health sciences, industry and manufacturing, public safety and service, and social and behavioral sciences.  Its student clubs and organizations include Latinos Unidos and Movimiento Estudiantil Chicanx de Aztlan (MEChA).

 

Western Texas College

(WTC)

WTC offers programs of study that qualify students for the Associate of Arts or Associate of Science Degree and junior standing in a senior college or university.  This year, WTC hosted the Hispanic Heritage Movie Fest, which featured films like “Coco,” “In the Time of Butterflies,” “El Mariachi” and “Selena.”
